Baxter C. Harrington is the Owner and President of MOTTEP of Richmond. He has a Master of Science degree in the Biomedical Sciences from MeHarry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Mr. Harrington served as an officer in the U.S. Medical Corps for seven years and was employed as a Transplant Specialist for eleven years. During the majority of this time he also served as The Community Education Specialist and Consultant to LifeNet, (a Federally Appointed Organ Procurement Organization).

Mr. Harrington has published three scientific papers in the area of grass roots based community education programs. He has incorporated several local and national programs targeted at the minority community regarding donation and transplantation issues. Each program is dedicated to the ongoing education towards healthier life styles, disease prevention, organ and tissue donation, and transplantation among minority populations. He has also conducted numerous workshops and presentations culminating at the Twenty-Fifth World Congress on Donation and Transplantation held in Osaka, Japan in August of l994.
